MOHCD ANNOUNCES RFP for Capital Projects, Capital/Public Space Improvements Planning Projects, Capital Technical Assistance Projects, Housing Development Grants, and Public Space Improvements

 

The Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) is pleased to announce the availability of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for projects under the following program areas for program years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017:  Capital Projects, Capital/Public Space Improvements Planning Projects, Capital Technical Assistance Projects, Housing Development Grants,  and Public Space Improvements.

Funding will be available from the following sources: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), Housing Trust Fund-Complete Neighborhoods (HTF-CN) and SoMa Community Stabilization Fund (SoMa Fund).

The RFPs will be available on MOHCD’s website at www.sfmohcd.org starting on Friday, December 4, 2015. Alternative formats for persons with disabilities will be available upon request to MOHCD’s ADA Coordinator, Eugene Flannery at 701-5598 or eugene.flannery@sfgov.org.

Technical Assistance Workshops
MOHCD will conduct five technical assistance workshops to assist interested applicants in assessing the eligibility and scope of proposed projects. These workshops will discuss all program areas included in the RFPs. All of the workshops are scheduled for Mondays from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at MOHCD, 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 5th Floor, Conference Room 5080. The dates for the workshops are:
• December 14, 2015;
• March 14, 2016;
• June 13, 2016;
• September 12, 2016; and,
• December 12, 2016.

NOTE:  MOHCD will not be issuing an RFP for public services funded by CDBG, ESG or HOPWA for the FY 2016-17, since the department has moved to a multi-year funding cycle that began in July, 2015.  Current CDBG, ESG or HOPWA public service grantees will be contacted by MOHCD during the FY 2015-16 year about the process for possible renewal of their grant into the FY 2016-17.

MOHCD ANNOUNCES RFP FOR PLANNING FOR NONPROFIT REAL ESTATE HOLDING ENTITY

The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) announces that $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are being made available to community-based organizations for a planning grant focused on creating a nonprofit real estate holding entity that acquire and hold real estate on behalf of social service organizations that would be housed in those buildings.

The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015.

MOHCD will conduct a technical assistance workshop to assist interested applicants in determining the eligibility of proposed projects, and completing the required elements of the proposal packet. This workshop is scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 5th Floor.

MOHCD ANNOUNCES RFP FOR CAPACITY BUILDING FOR AGENCIES SERVING VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN THE MISSION

The Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) is pleased to announce the availability of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a 2015-16 grants program to support capacity building for agencies serving vulnerable populations in the Mission.

The RFP is now available electronically here, or for pick-up at 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 5th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Alternative formats for persons with disabilities are available upon request to MOHCD’s ADA Coordinator, Eugene Flannery at 701-5598 or eugene.flannery@sfgov.org.

The Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development has submitted its final version of its 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and 2015-2016 Action Plan to HUD for review.  The final version may be found here.
